Our Mission
The Children's Dyslexia Centers, Inc. is a program of the Scottish Rite Supreme Council for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction started in 1994. The program has 3 primary objectives:
- To provide, free of charge, one-on-one multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services to children
with dyslexia.
- To provide, free of charge, training programs to individuals interested in
becoming certified tutors in the Orton-Gillingham method.
- To support research programs in dyslexia that will improve today's clinical
standards and tomorrow's care.
We provide a highly qualified staff specially trained in the treatment of dyslexia. After professional assessment
and evaluation of a student's needs, the staff then provides customized one-on-one instruction using a variety of
techniques.
In addition, we provide training for local teachers or volunteers who want to tutor children with
dyslexia.
